Camps
The Nebraska Chapter of the NHF encourages all children and youth to participate in the summer camping experiences. There are three camps in the region that accept Nebraska participants. Those camps are located in Eastern Nebraska, Missouri and Colorado. Please contact the individual camps for registration materials and details. Scholarships to pay tuition for the camps is available through the Chapter. If interested in receiving a scholarship please contact the Chapter Office by phone or email and someone will get back to you.
CAMP COHOLO
- CoHoLo stands for Courage, Hope and Love, the guiding principles behind the formation of Camp CoHoLo. From its humble beginnings, Camp CoHoLo now hosts 140 to 160 children each July during an eight day camp.
- The Summer camp is held at the Eastern Nebraska 4-H Center near Gretna. The 4-H Center features 10 wo-story cabins nestled within the wilderness and a large, air-conditioned lodge used for activities and meals.
Camp dates:
- Session I: July 15 - 18 for ages 6 through 11 years
- Session II: July 18 - 22 for ages 12 through 17 years
- Colorado Mile High Camp & Wilderness Camp
- Cost: $75 per family address for patients of Mountain States Regional Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center.
- Number of 2006 Campers: 65
- Geographic area of camp attendees: Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Western Nebraska, Kansas and South Dakota

- Camp dates: July 16 - 21, 2007
- Mile High Camp is for childreen between the ages of 7 and 13 who have a bleeding or clotting disorder and for their siblings. Education as well as camp activities are conducted throughout the week. Mile High Camp uses the facilities of the Easter Seal Society of Colorado. The camp is approximately one hour west of Denver.
- Wilderness Camp is provided for adolescents with bleeding disorders ages 14-17.
